Up to Thurs 8/30

Hi everybody, have not posted lately since the fishing was status quo with decent short action and at times an annoying amount of sea robin action.  Looks like most of the fish are starting to move out of the bay so we have been fishing the knoll and channels lately but may have to move to rougher bottom for more keepers. The last couple days have been exceptionally tough as far as keepers so we may have venture out to other areas.  Summer is almost over but the fishing is not and after labor day there should be more room at the rails during the week so come down and enjoy the space. Only  a few pictures to post but now we will be more up to date with reports and pictures. Here are the deck girls from last week and 'teacher' Bob Sabo with his pool fish today.   Hope to see you soon.

Thursday 8/23: Humpback whale

On Wednesday 8/22 and Thursday 8/23 we had a humpback whale actively feeding in the area we fished. These photos were taken on the Thursday afternoon trip. The whale provided quite a show.

8/18 Last few days and Lee again

Sorry  that I have not posted in a while but there was not much change till the last few days.  Things have improved the last few days with some good  catches especially on the morning trips.  Of course the main reason is the conditions were right for the area we are fishing. Yesterday we had to work hard to maintain the right drift in the morning with a  wind and sea in different directions but ended up with a decent catch.  The afternoon was much nicer and Jimmy Lee again produced a pool winner of 8.5 lbs. Looks like the weather will be getting cooler so come on down.  Here are some recent photos.
