May 25 Stripers holding up

Striper fishing has been good the last few days. This afternoon Mike Summers of Branchburg took his limit out of the 8 keepers he caught but didnt beat out Tim Cunningham s 22 pounder that took him 45 minutes to get in on light tackle. Earlier in the week John Mahoney of Bellville took his limit out of 4 keepers as did Rich O Bryant of Bloomfield and Bill Chadwick of N. Middlletown. Keep up the good fishing guys.
We will be switching to Fluke on Sat. May 29 but will also run a bottom trip on Thurs May 27 in the morning.

May 19 2010

Although there was not much of a turnout due to the forcast we managed to get out for some great fishing. We limited the boat out in one hour in the morning run and again in the afternoon but it took a little longer. Fish up to 24 lbs in the a m and 22 lbs in the pm trip.
There was a big swell in the ocean left over from the wind on Tuesday and that seemed to turn the fish on as well as the lack of boat traffic. The next few days look great weather wise and hope the fish cooperate as well.

Sea Tiger II - Tuesday, May 18

Didn't expect to get out today, but glad we did. The weather was not good, but the fishing was. We clammed on the bar and limited out by 10:30AM. Was only a handful of anglers. Mate Earl Farwell threw out a line and landed a 38lb drum.

Sea Tiger II - Sat/Sun May 14 and 15

Earlier trips this week were also successful. The biggest fish this year so far was a 43lb striper hooked and boated Anju Bennett of Linden, NJ. The fish was as tall as his son Malachi. John Leone of Bloomfield, NJ was the top fisherman on Saturday showing 2 of his 4 keepers.
