Thurs Nov 29

After a week and a half of slow fishing that was slowly improving due to the swells last week we had a great trip. Left the dock a little late since we really did not have enough patrons to sail but we went anyway. Glad we did as we made one drop and had good short action and enough keepers to almost limit the boat out. We are trying to sail daily but not alot fishermen are showing up, so if you come down during the week try and get a few friends to come with you. Hope to see you soon. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Saturday Nov. 17 blackfish report

We headed out with a relatively small crew expecting more by the phone calls we got. The ocean was not friendly and very rolly but once we got anchored up we started picking away at the blackfish with good short action and ended up with several limits ( now 6 per person) around the boat. We will be trying to sail daily but when you come down remember there are no services in the harbor. No public restrooms or restaurants so you may want to make a stop before coming into the harbor. Hope to see you soon but remember to check the weather since now we are fishing the ocean. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

We are a go for Blackfishing Saturday, Nov 17th

We will try to go out on Sat Nov. 17 but not sure how the parking configuration will work in the harbor. There will be security at the harbor entrance and they will direct you where to go. If you cannot park in front of the boat then walk down  and there will be an opening in the fence in front of the boat. For those of you that can tolerate the weather hope to see you soon.

Hoping to be able to start Blackfish Season Saturday November 17th

Hello everyone. Per the Atlantic Highlands Harbor Commission meeting last night, we are hoping to be able to start fishing again this Saturday, November 17th. Since blackfish season opens on the 16th, we will be targeting blackfish.

We strongly advise that you call us on Friday, November 16th at (732) 872-9231 to confirm that we have clearance to sail.

We wish to extend our thanks to the hard work the team at the Harbor has accomplished since Sandy hit. Since the storm's devastation to our marina, they have worked non stop to help all of us get back on our feet. Their efforts have been outstanding.

We would also like to extend our best wishes to everyone that have suffered loss in this disaster, and express our thanks to those of you who have inquired as to our well being. To all of our friends and neighbors, we get through these events with the strength of our friends, and we are fortunate to have the best of the best.

Stay strong, and we will fish again!
