Monday August 23 update

The last few days we have been fishing ambrose channel and the fishing has been good with lots of short action and a good amount of keepers. However we can only go there when the conditions permit and that has been in the mornings. Yesterrday afternoon we were again confined to the bay but we did manage to catch our biggest of this year. John Strozyc of west long branch landed a 10.5 lb flattie. We only picked at the shorts and a few other keepers with windy conditions yesterday and today the whole fleet was confined to the bay inthe rain and wind. Tomorrow does not look good for fishing anywhere but the bay.

We'll be fishing for fluke after the season closes once we get our RSA exemption permit and hope to have a good september run.
