Nice warm day today for end of October but only a few showed up to go out this morning. Light westerly winds gradually increased through the day but the only downfall was the southerly roll that was left over from the last 2 days. Not rough but a little rolly made it tough to stay on one spot long enough to get the fish going. We picked at porgies and some nice sea bass that had to go back but did manage a few very nice black fish to 8 1/2 lbs. Other then some increasing wind tomorow conditions should be better the next few days and fishing should be better.

We are now 3/4 day every day leaving at 7 :30 A M and had a nice day fishing for porgies and blackfish. With just a few fares we got our limit of blackfish and a nice mess of porgies. Tomorow does not look promising with the wind forcast although the temperatures look good. Check your marine forcast before coming down in the morning. We are also getting a few nice sea bass but unfortunatly we cant keep them till monday. We will decide in the morning if we will go out or not.

Monday Oct 18

We had another good morning of porgy fishing today but not as good as yesterday morning. Our afternoon trip yesterday was not as productive with tough anchoring conditions and bluefish spooking the porgies. We are doing 3/4 day trips now but decided to do one more half day weekend this coming weekend Oct 23 & 24 at 8 AM and 1:30 PM.

Schedule Change

Starting Monday, October 18th we'll be switching to our 3/4 day schedule for the remainder of the season. One trip daily: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Monday Oct 11

We had a nice turnout for the morning trip and satisfied most of them with a great catch of porgies , some sea bass , and the pool winning blackfish. With today being the last day to keep sea bass we will be targeting porgies and a few blackfish the next few weeks. The afternoon trip was not as productive even though we fished the same area as the day before which had been a good trip. We will be changing our fishing times schedule soon so please call ahead before u come down.

Porgies Still Biting

Despite the marine weather forecast, the ocean turned out nice on saturday and the fishing was good with porgies, a few seabass, a couple of blackfish, and a keeper striper in the afternoon. We had a very light crowd both trips on a gorgeous day. Those of you that came sunday saw that none of the boats were able to make it out, and it looks the same for the next 2 days. Hopefully we can get out later in the week.
