Good fishing all weekend, today limited out

Had fair fishing on Friday morning when we ventured out to the ocean but better fishing in the afternoon when we stayed in the bay but the fish turned on late. Saturday both trips were good  with the afternoon being better.  Sunday's morning trip was even better with close to 50 keepers being boated. The afternoon however was not as productive with a good crowd and a cold 20 mph south wind blowing Today we went with only a handful  of anglers and limited out by 11 A M .  We did not get out in the afternoon today due to lack of anglers but will try again tomorrow even though the weather is a little iffy.

4/24 report, good and great.

Had a good morning trip boating 19 keepers and more than that in shorts on  one beautiful day on the bay.
Steady pick kept things interesting along with the jokes among the regulars.  The afternoon though was even better with the boat limiting out in two hours catching 36 keepers and lots of shorts.  Short report cause we are tired.  Here are some pics.

Weds and Thurs 4/17 & 18 report

Did not sail Weds A M due to coast guard inspection but got out in the afternoon with another small group.  Very nice day weather wise and got 2 keepers on the first drop then it died. Moved to where we caught them good on Mon P M trip only got a short. Back to the first area and started to pick some shorts and keepers so we stayed late.  Today was cool and raw on the water but it didn't bother the fish. Had a good morning catching just short of a boat limit in keepers and picked at shorts also.  The afternoon was even better with the boat limiting out in  2 hours and started throwing keepers back along with the good short action mixed in.  Here are some pics from the last two days.

Filed Early, Got Return

We are starting to see an improvement in the fishing, action with shorts and some more keepers. Didn't make  it out on Saturday but Sunday we had a handful of  keepers and good short action on both trips. No morning trip on Monday but the afternoon trip turned out to be the best trip yet with everyone going home with fish. Boated 17 keepers and 15 - 20 shorts despite not having good conditions (i.e., wind against tide). Several anglers had limits. Looks like the bite is picking up, hope to see you soon.

Please note we are not sailing the morning of Wed 4/17/2013 as we have Coast Guard inspection. We will be sailing that afternoon. Hope to see you soon.

April 10 & 11 report

Went out on Weds hoping to to have even better fishing then Tues but only managed one keeper with no other hits. Thursday on the other hand we did have a better bite going and ended up with 4 keepers and 4 shorts plus some misses and having a few others on all in the last hour.  Nobody went out today with the weather so we hope Saturday will be even better. Tues April 9 Finally some life

Headed out this beautiful morning with a little more hope having some warmer temps the last couple days.  We did have some life  catching 3 shorts missed a few bites, broke a couple off (tight drag), and getting our first keeper of the season. It happens to be the first keeper on any party boat out of our harbor being 32 inches and about 15 lbs. Hopefully it will get even better as the water temps rise and the fish move out of the rivers and shallows.  Here are a few pics for the day.
