The last few days including memorable Memorial Day

We had ok fishing Thursday morning with a high hook of 4 keepers, then didn't sail again until Sunday due to the rain and wind. On Sunday we only had slow fishing down the beach since it was the only place to fish in the wind. Monday we had a nice turnout of people and ok fishing in the morning, and good fishing in the afternoon boating over 50 keepers and around 150 shorts. This morning we picked away and it looks like we are going to wind up with a fairly good catch. At 10:30 Wayne Turner had caught his limit. Not sure if we'll make the afternoon, but the rest of the week looks good - hope to see you soon.

First Fluke Update

We had a nice turnout on opening day and a decent catch of keepers with good short action. Thought we would have much better fishing than we had but there were a lot of boats pressuring the fish. Of course the afternoon trip wasn't as productive, and the weather did not cooperate. The last few days we have had ok fishing but the main body has not moved into the area yet. On Monday morning Danny Wong caught his limit including a double header keeper.  Looks like some nice weather for the weekend, the fishing should pick up. Hope to see you soon.

Long overdue report

Hi everyone, sorry it's been a while but the striper fishing has been very demanding especially doing 2 trips a day. Add to the fact the technical difficulties of my computer dying puts us way behind on reports. The last couple of days fishing has not been up to par since the Sunday 5/12 afternoon trip where we limited out. Before that we have had good, fair, and not so good trips. One outstanding trip was the Friday 5/10 trip where we caught about 40 keepers including a 38 pounder by 13 year old Vaughn Stanziale of Rockaway, NJ. We will be striper fishing for 2 more days before switching to Fluke on Saturday 5/18. Here are some pictures from the past week, hope to see you soon.

Past week to Friday 5/3

Had  week of very good  fishing with the boat  limiting out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and except for Thursday afternoon the other trips were good with lots of limits. Have not had the time to post and did not even have time to take as many pictures as we would have like to. We hope this fishing holds up till fluke season opens on May 18. Hope to see you soon.
