We pretty much just stayed by the pier making long drifts and picking shorts and a few keepers each drift until we lost the drift, no wind or current. Ten year old Kyle Bednarski of W. Milford surprised everyone by reeling in the pool fish as he and dad combined for 3 keepers to take home. The southerly winds in the afternoon forced us to stay in the bay with a slow pick of shorts and a keeper here and there with the pool fish being caught on the first drift. My buddy Steve has been out the last few afternoons and has been catching 10 -12 shorts a trip but can't get that keeper. The afternoon ended with a whale show as on showed up in the bay. Here are a couple of pics but couldn't get a good one of the whale.
