Tues - Weds 8/19 &20

Tuesday morning headed out to where we caught them on Monday afternoon but had much different conditions with Easterly winds of 15  plus mph so it got a little rolly though it did help slow the drift down. Picked at some fish but not good so we headed back to the bay but not a good morning catch. In the afternoon we started in the bay till the current slowed down in the ocean since the wind and tide were together. Picked at some shorts and keepers and then headed outside to catch the end of tide and got a good shot of fish. John Mundjer with  a couple of beauties including the pool.  Weds  morning did the ame thing with less wind so we stayed in the ocean most of the morning although a couple of patrons were not up to the rocking. Lots of action with shorts and some keepers mixed in. Victor Arnao told me he caught 29 shorts and one keeper on the morning trip. In the afternoon we could not go back out there since it would have been too fast a drift so we made some long drifts and picked slowly but ended up ok with Victor catching the first keeper  of 6 3/4 lbs that held up for the pool. He also caught about ten more shorts and another keeper. Nick Ricciteloi was close with a  6 lber and also pictured is Carolyn Jacob of the Leisure Knoll fishing club  with a couple of  nice fish. Next couple of days we should have lighter crowds with the cloudy slight chance of a shower forecast but we will be going out. Here are some pics including a young man with his first ever fish.
