Sunday 8/30 Son beats dogfish dad

In the morning we were shocked to see so few anglers down on a beautiful Sunday. We went out starting locally producing some keepers on the first two drifts and then ventured out farther in the channel to pick away with good short action and some more keepers mixed in. It was a long drift that gave us a longer ride in but it was worth it.  Gene Stroz ended up with 2 keepers as did Jake and Dru Polansky including the pool. Had other keepers around and everyone caught fish. The afternoon trip was also disappointing on the turnout but we did get some beauties. Vinnie Battista of Staten Island took the pool with his 7 1/2 lb lunker(no dogfish for him), and Jong-Kyu Park came in close second with his 6 1/2 lber plus another keeper. Other keepers around the boat made it a nice afternoon. Looks like a nice week so come on down and not fight the summer crowds. here are a few pics.
